🎃 Why Halloween Is My Favorite Time of Year (and Why Your Pup Needs a Spooky Photoshoot!)

There’s something about Halloween that just lights me up inside. The cool, crisp air. The crunch of fallen leaves under my boots. The smell of bonfires and pumpkin spice drifting through the neighborhood. The sound of excited kids (and dogs!) rustling in their costumes. I love it all.

But beyond the haunted houses and Halloween movies, my favorite part of the season is creating Halloween sets—and capturing your pups in all their festive glory!

This year, the mobile studio got a complete Halloween makeover. We’re talking twinkling orange lights, moody cobwebs, eerie backdrops, pumpkins galore, and a few “haunted” surprises tucked here and there. It’s part spooky, part whimsical, and 100% adorable.

I’ve been doing Halloween dog photos for years now, and it never gets old. Whether it’s a dachshund dressed as a hotdog, a golden retriever in a pumpkin tutu, or a lab rocking a vampire cape, every dog who steps inside brings their own unique personality. Some pups are all in on the Halloween fun—strutting proudly in their costumes with a sparkle in their eyes. Others take a few moments (and a handful of treats) to warm up to the lights and camera, but once they do, it’s pure magic.

These sessions are short, fun, and perfect for anyone who wants a festive keepsake of their furry best friend. And honestly, it’s one of my favorite traditions—seeing familiar faces return year after year in new costumes makes my spooky little photographer heart so happy.

If you’ve never done a Halloween photoshoot with your dog, I promise—it’s worth it. It’s a chance to create something fun, festive, and totally unique to your pup’s personality. You’ll walk away with portraits that make you smile every time you see them—and probably a few bloopers that make you laugh just as hard.

🕸️ So grab your pup’s costume (or borrow some of mine!) and join me in my spookified trailer for this year’s Halloween photos.
Spots fill up faster than a witch on a broomstick, so don’t wait too long to snag your session. Let’s make this Halloween one to remember—with adorable, hauntingly cute portraits you’ll treasure forever. 🧡🐾
