the ash and alder portrait experience
Commissioned portraiture for those who believe their dog’s story deserves to be preserved with intention.
This is not a quick photoshoot.
It is a guided, full-service experience designed to create meaningful artwork that lives beautifully in your home.
From planning to final installation, every step is thoughtful, calm, and centered around your dog’s comfort.
Artwork Designed to Be Lived With
The images we create are meant to exist beyond a screen.
Each finished piece — whether wall art, album, or keepsake — is professionally crafted using archival materials designed to age beautifully.
These are not mass-produced prints.
They are heirloom pieces, created to hold presence in your home for years to come.
If you do not absolutely love your finished artwork, I will buy it back.
No fine print. Your trust matters.
Fewer Images. Greater Meaning.
In a world of overflowing galleries and digital overload, this experience is intentionally different.
I photograph with purpose — creating a refined selection of expressive, impactful images rather than hundreds of near-duplicates.
Every chosen portrait is carefully hand-finished.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing is automated.
You won’t be left wondering what to do with your images.
I guide you in selecting artwork that fits your space, your style, and your story — so your portraits feel intentional, not accidental.
The Process
Step One — Reserve Your Session
Your experience begins with a $350 creative session fee.
• Fully guided portrait session
• Up to three dogs
• $200 artwork credit applied at ordering
This secures your date and begins the planning process.
Step Two — Design & Preparation
We plan intentionally.
Location, setting, personality, artwork goals — every detail is considered so your session feels seamless and meaningful.
Step Three — The Portrait Session
Calm. Guided. Animal-first.
Whether outdoors, in the warehouse studio, or inside the private mobile studio, your dog’s comfort leads the experience.
Step Four — Your Artwork Reveal
Approximately one to two weeks after your session, you’ll return for your personal ordering appointment.
Together, we select the artwork and collections that best fit your home.
Artwork collections begin at $995 and artwork pieces begin at $125.
Most clients invest in custom pieces designed specifically for their space and usually spend between $1500 and $4000 on their artwork.
